A Brief History of GummBOT

GummBOT, pronounced ghum-BO (the "T" is silent), was born in the French village of Alsace on the German Border.  When he was just a young pup stomping grapes to make wine, he experienced a vision.  The earthly world darkened around him and he was enveloped by an eerie ethereal light.   Up from the grapes came a gaseous cloud and it spoke to him in French (but with a slight Italian accent as if it might be from southern Switzerland).  "GummBOT, you will set a westward sail to the mouth of a great river and learn the ancient arts to become a seer.  I will empower you with knowledge of the past and also of specific, but not all-encompassing, points of the near future.  Go forth and scatter your wisdom to all that will listen."

With that, GummBOT washed off his paws, packed a duffel bag and stowed away on the first ship traveling to America. 

Finding himself in New Orleans, the small schnauzer quickly befriended a close-knit group of people  who would teach him all about  African-Caribbean voodoo practices, swamp rituals, the art of tossing beads and how to prepare really tasty food.

The vision returned two years to the day it first visited GummBOT and instructed him to pack up his duffle bag once again and move to Hollywood, California.  It was time to begin the next phase of GummBOT's life.  Giving back to the people (at $3.95 per minute).  Fame and fortune and everything that goes with it were soon to follow.  At least he hopes it will!
